Since 2001, we have helped people struggling with the effects of a natural disaster, impoverished circumstances, and temporary misfortune live with dignity.
Caring For Others, Inc. is an international human services organization that provides food, clothing, and a continuum of services to families struggling with the effects of a natural disaster, impoverished circumstances, and temporary misfortune.
To restore hope and dignity to families impacted by poverty. At Caring For Others, we believe that poverty doesn’t have to be permanent. It’s a complex issue that, when tackled head-on, can be eradicated— one family at a time.
At Caring For Others, we want to help the world see the myriad of people who are largely invisible: the child with no shoes, the senior citizen without basic necessities, or the working mother struggling to make ends meet. This quest to truly recognize the faces of poverty inspires our actions and our mission each day.
At Caring For Others, we strive to create a fulcrum that ultimately leads to the demise of impoverished communities and restores dignity to the least of these. We follow the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who contended, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”
Through partnerships with social service organizations, government agencies, communities of faith, and corporate partners, we provide a continuum of services including distributions of food, new clothing, toys, shoes, furniture, and personal necessities domestically and globally. Since our founding in 2001, Caring For Others has broadened its path of dignity and hope across twenty-three metro Atlanta zip codes, the southeast, gulf coast, west coast and Belize, Guyana, Nigeria, Antigua, and the Philippines.
During 2020, a year when everyone struggled, we asked more of ourselves as an organization and as individuals, and we succeeded in bringing dignity and hope to those we reached.
With the tremendous manpower of volunteers and financial support of key partners, Caring For Others has been able to quickly organize the distribution of water, clothing, shoes, household goods, and other much-needed items. The results are a testament to what is possible when we work together.
